South Bend announces holiday schedule for trash pickup

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—The City of South Bend has announced its holiday schedule for trash pickup that will cover the last week of 2018 and first week of 2019.

City offices will be closed on December 25 and January 1.

For the week starting December 24, trash pickup will be:

•Monday, December 24: Normal pickup

•Tuesday, December 25: Christmas, no service

•Wednesday, December 26: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Tuesday

•Thursday, December 27: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Wednesday

•Friday, December 28: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Thursday

For the week starting on December 31, trash pickup will be:

•Monday, December 31: Normal pickup

•Tuesday, January 1: New Year’s Day, no service

•Wednesday, January 2: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Tuesday

•Thursday, January 3: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Wednesday

•Friday, January 4: Pickup in areas normally serviced on Thursday
