South Bend bank robbery suspect indicted

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A person who is suspected of committing two separate bank robberies in South Bend in late February was indicted on Wednesday.

During their investigation, 29-year-old Nahkomie Taylor was identified by police as the person who carried out the robberies.

The first reported robbery took place at Flagstar Bank located at 2926 E. Mishawaka Avenue on February 18.

The second reported robbery took place at 1st Source Bank located at 2323 S Michigan Street on February 21.

Taylor was arrested after he was stopped by police during a traffic stop in Chicago. Taylor had an outstanding warrant and local charges out of Illinois.

Taylor was indicted on two counts of weapon offenses and two counts of bank robbery.
