South Bend begins converting Main, Michigan into 2-way streets

A large Smart Streets project launched Monday in downtown South Bend. The city is converting Main and Michigan streets from one way streets to two way streets.

Construction is expected to last through the fall.

The city has already converted several other streets to two way including William, Marion, Madison and Lafayette.
