South Bend church hosts community picnic

SOUTH BEND — The Epworth United Methodist Church held a picnic Saturday for families to come out, get to know one another and try to build stronger relationships with neighbors.
Anyone from the area was welcome to attend.
"We're having a picnic and we have invited all of our neighbors to come and celebrate with us just to say hello and have some fun," said pastor Jennifer Weaver.
The picnic lasted all afternoon at the church on Lincolnway West.
All the kids told ABC 57 that the balloon-making man was a big hit.
