SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- On Monday, South Bend Common Council Members and other community leaders came together in honor of Women’s History Month.
Women from throughout the community joined one another at the County-City Building lobby to tell community members about their events.
Dawn Jones, of the South Bend Community School Corporation, explained the importance of women roles in the public and the world.
“I think it’s important that people know the role of women. It’s the hand that rocks the cradle, it’s the one that rules the world,” Jones said.
The meeting emphasized the importance of supporting women in key roles they hold in the world.
