South Bend Cubs announce 2021 promotional schedule
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Cubs have released their 2021 promotional schedule, with celebrations including Fan Appreciation Night, Military Appreciation Night, and plenty of giveaways.
With the pandemic canceling celebrations last year, the Cubs will make up for lost time by celebrating their 2019 Midwest League Championship with a number of giveaways throughout the season. Select fans can win a replica championship ring, a replica Midwest League Trophy, a championship team canvas print, and more at games this summer.
This season’s bobblehead will feature 2016 Chicago Cubs World Series MVP Ben Zobrist, who played in three rehab games in South Bend in 2019. The first 1,000 fans can win his bobblehead at the August 18 game.
The South Bend Cubs will also throw fans a curveball by becoming “Los Cabritos Maldichos” for three games this season. Learn more about this alternate brand identity, which celebrates Hispanic contributions in baseball, here.
