South Bend Cubs announce schedule for upcoming homestand games and other events

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Cubs have announced their schedule for their homestand games and other events. 

All homestand games will be played at Four Winds Field in South Bend.

Check out the following schedule for exciting events coming to the field:

Monday, May 6, vs Cedar Rapids Kernels, 7:05 p.m. 

• Gates open at 6 p.m.
• Dog Day Monday: Fans are encouraged to bring their dogs to the park and enjoy $2 hot dogs, $2 peanuts and $2 popcorn. Free Toyota Fun Zone wrist bands for kids 12 and under.

Tuesday, May 7, vs. Cedar Rapids Kernels, 7:05 p.m. 

• Gates open at 6 p.m.
• $2 Tuesday: Game tickets are only $2 when purchased online, in advance. Tickets are regular price on game day

Wednesday, May 8, vs Cedar Rapids Kernels, 10:35 a.m. 

• Gates open at 9:30 a.m.
• Education Day: A special field trip day for select area schools. Plus, all kids 12 and under receive a coupon for a free DQ Mini Blizzard
• Silver Slugger’s Day: Seniors ages 55 and older can purchase a discounted ticket to the game.

Thursday, May 9, vs Peoria Chiefs, 7:05 p.m.

• Gates open at 6 p.m.
• Thirsty Thursday: Enjoy $2 domestic 16-ounce draft beer and regular 24-ounce fountain sodas all game long

Friday, May 10, vs Peoria Chiefs, 7:35 p.m. 

• Gates open at 5:30 p.m.
• Reading Club: The South Bend Cubs welcome participants of our Stu and Swoop's Reading Program to Four Winds Field
• Fantastic Friday Fireworks: Begin immediately following the game

Saturday, May 11, vs Peoria Chiefs, 7:05 p.m. 

• Gates open at 5 p.m.
• Mother’s Day Celebration: All moms in attendance will have a chance to win a 55 inch flat screen TV through the first 4-innings of the game
• Carnation Giveaway: First 500 moms through the gates will receive a flower
• Reading Club: The South Bend Cubs welcome participants of our Stu and Swoop's Reading Program to Four Winds Field
• Flat Screen Saturday: Innings 5 to 9, one fan in attendance will win a 55 inch flat screen TV

The 2019 Midwest League All-Star Game,  presented by Four Winds Casino, will be held in South Bend for the first time in 30 years.
