SOUTH BEND, Ind. - For the first time since becoming a Cubs affiliate, South Bend is playing for a Midwest League championship.
The South Bend Cubs hosted the Clinton LumberKings at Four Winds Field for Game One of the best-of-five championship series, and continued their postseason win streak.
The Cubs topped the LumberKings 3-1 on Wednesday night for their fifth-straight postseason win, and their seventh-straight overall.

Game Two will take place at Four Winds Field on Thursday before the series shifts to Clinton for the remaining two or three games.
