South Bend Cubs Opening Week promotions include giveaways, fireworks
SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Chicago Cubs are kicking off their season Thursday and the South Bend Cubs aren't too far behind! Fans can enjoy a list of exciting giveaways and events starting April 11 to celebrate Opening Week with the South Bend Cubs.
Tuesday
Festivities kick off April 11 with first pitch at Four Winds Field.
As you make your way to your seats, be sure to check out the Cubs' new state-of-the-art videoboard, the largest in the Midwest League.
The first 2,000 fans through the gates will also get a magnet schedule.
And don't forget to stay after the game for a firework show to wrap up what's sure to be a spectacular Opening Day.
Wednesday
The fun keeps going on April 12, when the first 1,000 fans get a Championship flag upon arrival.
Gates open at 6 p.m. for the 7:05 p.m. game.
Thursday
April 13 is Thirsty Thursday and fans over 21 can celebrate with $2 domestic 16 oz. draft beers.
Not quite your style? Fans can also enjoy $2 24 oz. fountain sodas all throughout the game.
Friday
Fantastic Friday fireworks arrives April 14 so make sure you're dressed for nightfall and ready for the return of a fan-favorite experience.
Friday's game starts at 7:05 p.m.
Saturday
On April 15, nine fans will win a 50" Smart TV, Martin's Super Market gift card, Visa gift card, Apple iPad or $500 cash during Spin to Win Saturday.
Participants must be 18 years or older to enter and must be at the game to win.
April 15 also marks Jackie Robinson's historic Major League Baseball debut and the Cubs will honor his legacy during the game.
April is Autism Awareness Month and the Cubs will commemorate it with Sensory Friendly Day. A special sensory room will be available for fans during the game.
Sunday
Opening Week wraps up April 16 with Sunday FUNday, giving fans a chance to play catch with and get autographs from some of their favorite players.
The first 1,000 at the stadium will get a Championship fleece blanket to take home.
