South Bend Cubs preparing for 2020 season with Food Feud

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Cubs open up the 2020 season at Four Winds Field on April 9, which is just 65 days away.

Ahead of it, there's a lot happening within the organization to get ready for it including two contests that fans can take part in.

Food Feud is an opportunity for fans to add their own creation to the menu at Four Winds Field.

From now until Feb. 12, fans are encouraged to submit their own recipes for items they would like to see on the menu in 2020.

Head Chef Josh Farmer says fans don't have to re-invent the wheel on their submissions. Judges will be looking for suggestions that are unique, but regionally-inspired, and doable for the staff.

After submissions are submitted, the Cubs staff will announce the finalists on February 20. Then, fans will be able to vote on the final entries with the winning-recipe announce in mid-March.

The Cubs are also accepting applications for individuals and groups to perform the Nation Anthem at Four Winds Field for 2020 home games.

Auditions will be accepted until March 2. Applicants are asked to submit their audition videos via email through a downloadable file or video link like YouTube or Google. They can be sent to [email protected]. Applicants can also drop off / mail auditions to 501 W South St. South Bend, IN 46601.

After a judging process, final decisions will be made and the South Bend Cubs staff will reach out to those who have been selected.
