South Bend Firefighters return resident's American flag

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Two firefighters saw the opportunity to do something nice for a resident, and the resident caught the good deed on camera.

After strong winds had broken a resident's flagpole, both the pole and the American flag were lying on the ground. Two firefighters, Bryan Haskel and Cody MacLeod, were returning in their truck back to their station when they saw the damage and decided to help out. A doorbell camera caught the Good Samaritans returning the now neatly folded flag and pole to the resident's porch before they could sustain any more damage.

ABC57 stopped by the firehouse to find out why the men felt that they should help.
