South Bend Gas Leak; Neighborhood Evacuated

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Emergency crews are clearing the scene of a gas leak.
The gas leak was reported before 8 p.m. at 733 26th Street.
A few homes were evacuated. Those evaucated were allowed to go back into their homes around 9 p.m.
26th Street was closed in both directions at Hastings Street to Mishawaka Ave. for a hour.
A gas dryer in one of the homes was to blame for the leak.
No injuries were reported.
