Hazardous wind chills today, but warming on the way
STURGIS, Mich. -- The Sturgis Department of Public Safety Police Division reports officers responded to the north side of Sturgis to investigate a call regarding a larceny from a motor vehicle around 1:35 a.m. on Friday.
The officers who responded then discovered several more vehicles had been broken into.
The report states officers continued to search the area and found subjects matching the given description as they were in the act of breaking into another vehicle.
Police say the subjects then fled the area.
Officers say they were able to locate and apprehend a juvenile from the South Bend area.
Police believe these same subjects were involved with the theft of a vehicle in the 600 block of Cheshire Drive.
SDPS received more calls throughout the day regarding larceny from motor vehicles throughout the city and believe the same individuals are responsible.
Officers are continuing to investigate.
