SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man has been arrested and charged with four counts of possession of child pornography.

In April 2017, a chat room user uploaded a picture depicting child pornography.

An investigator with the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office obtained a warrant for the IP address for the person who uploaded the photo and the user was identified as Gregory Bolen of South Bend, according to the probable cause affidavit.

On June 23, 2017, the local investigator served a search warrant for Bolen's home, two vehicles and his person.

During the search, investigators seized a laptop, thumb drive and cell phone, reports said.

The St. Joseph County investigator found 69 photos of child erotica, 86 photos of child pornography on the thumb drive. He found 75 pictures of child erotica and 106 photos of child pornography on the computer hard drive, according to the probable cause affidavit.

While the search warrant was being served at Bolen's home, investigators found methamphetamine, reports said.

He was arrested at the time of the search warrant for possession of methamphetamine.

Bolen was arrested on Friday on the possession of child pornography charges.

He has been charged with one count of possession of child pornography (a level 5 felony) and three counts of possession of child pornography (a level 6 felony).
