South Bend man faces felony charges in a string of armed robberies

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man who was arrested on Tuesday in a string of armed robberies is now being charged.

On Wednesday, the South Bend Prosecutor's Office charged 19-year-old Corey Damon Fair, Jr. with six counts of Robbery, each a Class B Felony.

The armed robberies took place between April 6th and 11th at the following locations:

  • 3425 Lincoln Way West (Arby's)
  • 2207 Mishawaka Ave. (7-11 Store)
  • 1526 Huey Street (Express Cab Driver)
  • 2221 S. Michigan Street (Kitchenette Restaurant)
  • 2407 Mishawaka Ave. (River Park Liquor)
  • 5113 W. Western Ave. (Pizza Hut)
  • 1129 N. Bendix Drive (Pizza Hut)

Police said Fair robbed each place using a handgun.

South Bend police said that they were able to connect Fair to at least one other incident of Armed Robbery that happened at the Pizza Hut Express on Lincolnway West in Mishawaka.

Police also said that Fair had a woman working with him in the robberies and are working to identify her.

Fair is currently being held in the St. Joseph County Jail. His bond has been set at $500,000 corporate surety or $50,000 cash.

He is scheduled to be arraigned on April 19th.
