South Bend man sentenced for firearm possession

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A South Bend man was sentenced for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to U.S. Attorney Thomas Kirsch.

Danny Weaver, 51, was sentenced to 100 months imprisonment followed by 1 year of supervised released.

According to official documents, Weaver possessed a firearm at his Osceola home in June 2017 after being convicted of a prior felony offense.

The Drug Enforcement Administration investigated the case.
