South Bend man sentenced on drug trafficking charges
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Harry Kinds, age 37, of South Bend has been sentenced to 130 months in prison for conspiracy to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine.
According to case documents, Kinds and another person were dealing methamphetamine together and were dealing out of a hotel on the north side of South Bend on October 7, 2019.
A hotel manager caught on to their activities and called police.
Both men were arrested, and South Bend police recovered cash, drug distribution paraphernalia, and about a pound of methamphetamine at the scene.
Kinds admitted that he had been buying and selling methamphetamine by the pound, and that he had brought approximately one pound of the drug to the hotel for distribution.
He has a total of seven felonies and ten misdemeanors convictions.
He was sentenced by United States District Court Judge Jon E. DeGuilio, and his 130 month prison sentence will be followed by four years of supervised release.
