South Bend man sentenced to 10 years in prison on drug charges

A South Bend man has been sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute a substance containing methamphetamine, according to the US Attorney's Office.

Damon Hairston, 45, will also serve 5 years supervised release.

In September 2018, a federal search warrant was served at Hairston's residence. During the search officers found two pounds of a substance containing methamphetamine, according to court records.

Hairston admitted he planned to sell the substance, according to court records.
