South Bend man sentenced to 8 years for possessing firearm

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend man was sentenced to over 8 years in federal prison for being a felon in possession of a firearm, according to the US Attorney's Office.
Marc Gutierrez, 32, was sentenced to 110 months in prison with 2 years supervised release.
In July 2019, a search warrant was served at his home and two firearms were located, according to court records.
Gutierrez admitted to being a former member of the Latin Kings and having prior convictions in Illinois and Texas, reports said.
