South Bend native tapped to head up South Bend Public Works

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The city of South Bend has a new director of Public Works.

Mayor Pete Buttigieg named Eric Horvath to run of the city's largest departments.

Horvath is a native of South Bend.

Most recently he has been working for an architecture firm based out of Indianapolis. He served as the services director and oversaw engineering design.

Horvath is expected to start in a few weeks.
