South Bend Office of Sustainability to host electric vehicle conversation

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Office of Sustainability will be hosting a community meeting to discuss electric vehicle usage in the area on November 10.

The discussion, called "Charge Up South Bend" will be held from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Ballroom three of the St. Joseph County Public Library Main Branch.

The Charge Up South Bend initiative is one that encourages community adoption of electric vehicles and e-mobility solutions.

The meeting will tackle questions such as:

  • Why drive electric?
  • How much do they cost?
  • Is there an electric vehicle that fits my needs and budget?
  • What incentives are available?
  • What if I can't charge at home or at work?

The final portion of the discussion will explain how the city of South Bend is expanding access to public charging.

Community members are invited to attend and can RSVP online here
