South Bend Police Department asking for donations for community Thanksgiving food drive

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Local law enforcement is looking to help families have a traditional Thanksgiving meal this holiday season.

The South Bend Police Department and the South Bend FOP 36 is asking the community to donate cash, gift cards, and non-perishable items like gravy, corn, and boxed stuffing mix to help families struggling during the pandemic.

Donations can be dropped off at the South Bend Police Department until Nov. 20.

Items donated will be combined to create food boxes and will be passed out to families in the South Bend area.
