South Bend Police Department to hold car seat safety check

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department is hosting another free car seat safety check for the community this month.
It’s scheduled for Friday, October 20, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the South Bend Police Department.
SBPD Car Seat Technicians will ensure car seats are installed properly and that children are in the appropriate seat for their age, height, and weight.
Children must be present for the safety check. The techs will also inspect infant car seats for babies that haven’t yet arrived.
The South Bend Police Department is located at 701 W. Sample Street. Follow the signage to enter the inspection site.
This event is in partnership with State Farm and the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute.
