South Bend Police hosts 'School's Out Cookout'

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police are helping kids celebrate the end of another school year with the "School's Out Cookout".

The event is on Saturday, June 8, at Kennedy Park from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Residents are invited to join the police department and several other local organizations for an afternoon of food, fun, and giveaways.

Organizers say the event is free and open to anyone in the community.

The event will also be the official debut of the new SBPD bounce house.

SBPD will also hold a back-to-school cookout later in the summer. Details will be released as the event gets closer.
