South Bend Table Tennis Club hosts 59th annual tennis tournament
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crime Unit is investigating a shooting on Sunday that left one person dead, the police department announced.
At 5:15 p.m., officers were called to the 2300 block of Western Avenue for a shooting report.
When police arrived, they aided 19-year-old Ricko Perez, who was suffering from a gunshot wound.
Perez was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
This is an ongoing investigation.
