South Bend Police investigating multiple shootings over the weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind, - The South Bend Police Department is investigating three separate shootings that happened Friday and Saturday night. The events all resulted in injuries, further urging Police to investigate more and reach out to the public.
On Friday around 7:45 p.m., officers were called to the 3400 block of Ardmore Trail for shots fired.
After arriving on the scene, officers found one person had been shot and was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
On Saturday around 1:30 a.m., officers responded to a call of a shooting in the 600 block of Monroe Circle.
Officers found a single person shot on the scene who was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
Later on Saturday around 12:15 p.m., officers responded to the area near the intersection of Lincoln Way West and Harrison Ave for reports of shots fired.
Once on the scene, officers found one person had been shot and was suffering from non-life threatening injuries.
In all cases, victims were transported to Memorial Hospital for treatment.
The South Bend Police Shooting Response team was activated in each of the three incidents and is currently handling the investigations.
According to officials, the three cases are not believed to be connected.
