South Bend Police investigating shooting

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Police responded to a call about a shooting around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday on the northwest side of the city.

Upon arrival at the 1800 block of Huey Street, officers learned that a victim had driven to Memorial Hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound.

Further investigation sent officers to the 2800 block of Elwood where they detained one person.

While the investigation is ongoing officers cannot say whether this person is connected with the shooting.
