Suspect in SWAT incident in critical condition from police gunfire
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Dispatch confirmed that a victim suffered a gunshot wound to their arm in a shooting that happened near the intersection of Fairview Avenue and Main Street in South Bend.
The incident happened around 8:34 p.m. Thursday evening.
Police say that multiple cars were shooting at each other while driving in this area.
One of the cars involved in the shooting remains at the scene. Police are waiting on a warrant to search it.
Police are still on the scene, and it is not known when it will be cleared.
The severity of the victim’s injuries is not yet known.
