South Bend Police investigating shooting on N. Johnson Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – The South Bend Police Department says an investigation is underway for a shooting that occurred in the 1300 block of North Johnson Street on Friday around 9 p.m.

Officers were dispatched to the scene for a reported disturbance call.

Upon arriving, officers discovered a man who suffered a gunshot wound to his lower extremities.

The man was transported to the hospital. His injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

The Investigative Bureau was at the scene of the crime and they have now taken over the investigation.
