South Bend police investigating stabbing

NOW: South Bend police investigating stabbing

SOUTH BEND, Ind.- South Bend police were called to a reported stabbing just after midnight Sunday morning.

It happened at the 1000 block of North Elmer Street.

Dispatch says when police arrived, the victim and the suspect had already left the scene.

The victim was reportedly stabbed in the shoulder.

Police believe an argument between a boyfriend and girlfriend cause the incident. 

Officers say the witnesses they spoke with were "uncooperative." Police continue to search for the suspect and victim.
