South Bend Police investigating Sunday night shooting

SOUTH BEND -- South Bend Police are investigating a shooting that happened Sunday night that left one man injured.

Police responded to a ShotSpotter Activation in the 1900 block of Lincoln Way West around 11:05 p.m. 

Officers found a 37-year-old male with an injury to the lower leg, which was determined to be non-life threatening.

The victim told police that he heard shots and then had a pain in his leg.

The incident remains under investigation.
