South Bend Police conducting death investigation on College Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The South Bend Police Department is conducting a death investigation at a home in the 1200 Block of College Street Friday morning.
According to police, a woman was found dead on a porch with a child around 6:10 a.m. on Friday. She was later identified as 49-year-old Gwendolyn Jones.
The child was sent to Riley Children’s Hospital.
Police say there are no signs of foul play.
They do not suspect a connection between this death and the homicide investigation on Diamond.
