South Bend Police Officer hit by car while investigating car accident

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - A South Bend Police Officer was hit by a car Saturday around noon while investigating a traffic accident.

The officer was hit on Portage Road.

South Bend Police Dispatch said that it doesn't seem to be as bad as originally thought.

The officer, who has not been identified was taken to an area hospital with unknown injuries.
