South Bend police officer makes first court appearance Monday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend Police Department officer made his first appearance in court on Monday after he was arrested over the weekend on two counts of Child Seduction.

Prosecutors are charging 27-year-old Rico Butler with two counts of Child Seduction due to his relationship with a 17-year-old female student at a Mishawaka high school.

Butler has been removed from his duties as an officer pending further investigation.
