South Bend Police officer rescues trapped skunk

SOUTH BEND, Ind.—An officer with the South Bend Police Department removed an object stuck on a skunk’s head on Friday morning.

The department tweeted that that Office Kaszas helped rescue a skunk by removing the object from his head around 7:30 a.m. on the corner of Broadway and Fellows.

The officer used a towel to cover the skunk and to prevent it from spraying him. Luckily, Officer Kaszas did not get sprayed.
