South Bend police searching for armed robber
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – A South Bend man woke up to an armed robber inside of his home.
It happened around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday on Donmoyer Avenue.
Police say the homeowner was sleeping when a man armed with a handgun broke into his home.
A supervisor for the police department said the burglar shoved the owner to the ground and then took off with his wallet. Officers searched the area for the crook. He's still on the loose.
The man living inside the home was not hurt.
The Detective Bureau is taking over the investigation.
