South Bend Postal Service possibly getting job cuts

SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- The main South Bend Post Office may be on the chopping block.

The United States Postal Service is looking to close about 250 mail processing centers across the county. One proposal is to shift processing from South Bend to Fort Wayne.

That shift would eliminate about 60 jobs, but the postal service says it would save about $6 million.

If those who would like to weigh in, there's a public meeting scheduled for November 17 in South Bend.
