South Bend’s First Fridays for May is being held online
SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Downtown South Bend is hosting their May First Fridays event virtually on their Facebook page. Activities will begin at 9 a.m. and run all the way until 10 p.m.
Many downtown restaurants and retailers are doing carryout and delivery for May First Fridays, a full list of which can be found here.
The Downtown South Bend To Go, or #dtsbtogo, is being extended for an additional day, which is an contest to win a $50 gift card.
To enter the contest, post a picture of any food or retail item bought from a downtown business using that hashtag and a tag from the business. The gift card won will be for the business that was tagged.
People can enter the contest as many times as they have unique purchases, just post any time on Friday to be eligible.
Downtown South Bend is partnering with the Centier Bank to donate $5 to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana for every contest entry they receive.
There will be a fundraising livestream concert from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. by Jake from StarHeart, with funds also going to the Food Bank of Northern Indiana.
