South Bend Schools Board approves changes to school day

SOUTH BEND, Ind.--- The South Bend Community School Corporation Board of Trustees approved major changes to school start times at its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday. The changes will take affect with the 2021-2022 school year. 

The new school schedules come after the corporation surveyed parents on how to best improve transportation. Elementary school students will now start their school day at 7:30 a.m. and end at 2:30 p.m., middle school students will start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m., and high school students will start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.
