SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Both new and returning students in pre-kindergarten through eighth grade and their families can visit South Bend Community School Corporation schools on Friday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. for a back-to-school walk-in registration event.
At the event, students will be able to arrange bussing schedules, update contact information and officially register for classes.
Students can also receive room assignments, schedules, supply lists and immunization information.
According to Brandon White, the Assistant Superintendent of Academics, the purpose of the walk-in registration is to get activities that are normally handled on the first day of school out of the way.
"To improve service to our students and families, we will have numerous staff there to answer questions and assist with filling out forms, etc.," said White.
No appointment is necessary.
An alternative walk-in registration day will be held on August 8 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. for those who can't attend on Friday.
