South Bend standoff ends peacefully

SOUTH BEND — South Bend police peacefully ended a standoff overnight Thursday.
Officers were called to Studebaker Street around midnight. They were engaged in a 2.5 hour standoff there.
The SWAT team was parked in front of a home where they say an assault took place.
The suspect was taken into custody.
No one was hurt.
