Firefighters battle structure fire on State Road 933

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – Firefighters battled a smoky blaze on the 51000 block of State Road 933 early Sunday.

Authorities received the call at 12:49 a.m. on Sunday.

When they arrived at the scene there was heavy smoke coming out of the corner of the building according to a Fire Marshall.

Eleven fire departments were on scene working to put the fire out. It took them over five hours to get the flames under control. No one was injured. 

Officials say that the building is completely damaged and was empty for more than 10 years.
