SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Teachers Credit Union (TCU) is lending a hand to federal workers impacted by the government shutdown.
TCU is offering 90-day member assistance loans to help those affected bridge the pay gap.
The package of relief measures include:
- 90-Day Member Assistance Loans
- Delinquent Loan Collection Solutions
- Loan Payment Deferment Assistance
- Waiver of early withdrawal penalty on Certificates
Vice President of Marketing Angie Dvorak said, “I think that we’re probably going to see an increase in the number of people that take advantage of it. While they might be able to get by missing one paycheck, missing a second paycheck is a really big impact to a lot of households out there.”
According to TCU, relief measures will be available to current and new members through the government shutdown to help families in need.
