South Bend to host meeting for public input on HUD PRO Housing grant application

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend Department of Community Investment invites community members to a public meeting to gather input on its application for a U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Pathways to Removing Obstacles to Housing (PRO Housing) grant application, titled “Western Avenue Transformation District," on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.

The application requests funding for the redevelopment of the Rabbi Shulman building and nearby vacant land.

Members of the public can also provide feedback and view the full plan online in English and Spanish.

The public meeting will take place at the Technology Resource Center at 1165 Franklin St. #100.
