SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Venues Parks & Arts is hosting a Youth Summer Job Fair and Department Showcase on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon at the Howard Park Event Center.

The job fair is intended to be an extension of VPA’s Youth Jobs Program, which offers resources to help youth become successful in the workplace.

The event is geared toward youth but all are welcome to attend and apply for jobs.

Positions begin at $15/hour.

Employees ages 15-21 who work in a part-time or seasonal position will also receive training resources and an invitation to a leadership seminar.

“We excited to offer this chance for the community to meet our VPA team, see all the opportunities we have for employment within our divisions, and learn more about the Youth Jobs SB program. This particular program is a great resource for kids to learn and grow while earning some extra income this summer,” said VPA Youth Employment Coordinator, Kintae Lark.
