WALKERTON, Ind. – Ameila Morris celebrated her 105th birthday on Monday at the Miller’s Merry Manor in Walkerton!
Although Morris is originally from Chicago she has spent most of her life living in South Bend!
During the celebration, Morris took the time to reflect on everything she has accomplished in her life, such as seeing and experiencing the world.
“I’ve done everything,” Morris said. “I’ve been all over the world. My father and mother had to transport different countries. I went to Mexico to live. I’ve been all over.”
Morris and her husband operated a tennis court concession stand at Leeper Park. Morris also baked for Saint Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church in South Bend.
Morris said that she is happy to be where she is today and loves being around people.
Happy birthday, Amelia!
