South Bend Youth Summer Job Fair this Saturday

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – South Bend Venues Parks & Arts is hosting a Youth Summer Job Fair on April 17 at the Howard Park Event Center.

From 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., department representatives will be around to answer questions and help those interested with applications.

The Job Fair is intended to be an extension of the VPA’s Youth Jobs Program, which gives young people community resources to help them become successful in the workplace.

Though the event is geared towards youth, everyone is welcome to attend and apply.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to meet our team, discover the many opportunities we have for employment and other resources available for youth, young adults and families in South Bend,” said VPA Youth Employment Coordinator, Kintae Lark.

Youths ages 15-21 working in the Youth Jobs Program will have a part-time or seasonal position and will receive training resources and life skills, like leadership development training, job readiness training, an empowerment coach, and more through the program.
