South Bend's December First Fridays boasts tree lighting, appearance from Santa

The celebration begins at 5 p.m. on the Gridiron, where families can enjoy live music, performances, giveaways, and more.
At 6 p.m., Santa makes an appearance to light the tree and visit with residents until 9 p.m.
As with all First Fridays events, guests can enjoy a number of deals and specials from area stores and restaurants.
Downtown for the Holidays kicks off a month-long celebration in South Bend.
