South Bend's request to reinstate railroad Quiet Zone approved

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The City of South Bend says the Federal Railroad Administration has approved its request to reinstate a railroad crossing Quiet Zone.

A letter approving the request will be mailed in the next couple of days.

The city's request met the requirements of the Quiet Zone.
