South by South Bend Music Festival next weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- With 26 bands at seven venues, the South by South Bend Music Festival is sure to be a success.
Musicians will travel from all over the Midwest to perform. All of the venues will be donated and the bands are volunteering their time for the festival that many hope will go down in history.
"I think South Bend is a city that is very hungry for some vitality and energy," said Dena Woods, Director of Marketing and Promotions for Downtown South Bend. "People want to see something cool happen, and I think that bridges across all ages."
Street parking downtown and in the garages downtown will be free the weekend of May 3 - 5 to accommodate the hundreds of people that are expected to attend the festival.
There is only one show that will require tickets, it will be held Saturday, May 4 at the State theatre. Tickets and information about the festival can be found here: http://sxsb2013.bpt.me/
